Features and functionality

A large cotton model that symbolizes Moss and appeared in the 1980 MOSS TENT WORKS catalog.

This outdoor tent boasts a floor area of 200 square feet (19 m²) and is a platform-free fabric shelter that has been featured in The New York Times and has won numerous design awards.

Like the Trillium (nylon), the Optimum 200 is inspired by the three-leaf clover and features a sturdy center pole and three U-shaped frames for incredible balance and durability.

The curved construction of all the parts makes it windproof, while the breathability of the cotton material makes it ideal for vacation homes and summer living. This is one of Bill Moss's signature works, who described his tent as a "livable work of art."

Due to their high cost and the fact that they were made to order, there were very few holders available, and the larger Optimum 350 (32.5m²), 600 (55.7m²), and 1500 (139.3m²) types are even rarer.

With carpet laid on the ground sheet, chairs and tables arranged, it was an ideal outdoor home.

It can accommodate up to six people and is over 7.6 feet (228 cm) tall. Its curved structure provides 50% more volume than an A-type tent, and the two large mesh windows increase ventilation and prevent pests from entering.

The reason why the Moss Tent remains unique and captivating today is that it was created with Bill Moss' artistic sense and craftsmanship.

The Optimum series is the work that best captures Bill Moss' spirit.
